DR. CONSTANTIN RADULESCU STADIUM

Originally built in 1973 due to Dr. Constantin Radulescu's persistent lobbying of the local authorities, CFR Stadium fell into disrepair over the course of the next three decades. However, as funds began to trickle into the club, so did the infrastructure improve. 

In early 2007, CFR Stadium was officially renamed after the most important figure in the club`s entire history, the late Dr. Radulescu.

After building an extension to the stadium in the summer of 2007,  new stands were also built opposite the original main structure in preparation for CFR's first Champions' League adventure. These investments have increased Dr. Constantin Radulescu Stadium's total seating capacity to 23,500.

Over the course of the next several years, the stadium will be completely enclosed on all four sides with the construction of a small 2000-seat stand for the away fans.
